Information on liposuction recovery can seem complicated. The internet throws all sorts of advice at you, from foam to compression to massage. Here are some of my most recommended resources and products to my clients who come in for post op massage. I hope this helps!
This is a fantastic resource for all things plastic surgery by a post op massage therapist. It has everything you could want to know and then some about pre and post liposuction.
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Soothing Relief Eczema Cream, Face and Body Lotion For Eczema and Sensitive, Dry Skin, Moisturizer with Colloidal Oatmeal to Relieve Irritation on Amazon
This is my favorite moisturizer for dry skin after surgery, especially under compression.
This corset extender is an easy way to allow some space in your compression as you change sizes due to swelling or foams.
Compression socks are a great way to prevent swelling from settling in your ankles and legs. Swelling loves to move with gravity. It may start out in your abdomen and move down to your feet.
Always consult your doctor before using products, but this is a fan favorite. Silicone has been shown to lessen scars appearance and healing time.
This is an alternative to the tape, its basically a silicone lotion that dries onto the scar.
My favorite liposuction foam. Easy to cut to fit your body, washes nicely and a good price point.
Wear these under your compression and foams to protect your skin.
A client told me about this and it blew my mind. Don't have a washer at your home and tired of cleaning your compression by hand? Grab a mini washer and let it do all the work for you! Amazingly affordable life hack you can continue to use after you are done with compression as well.
